My name is Khairina. I am 23 years-old. Born on 10th of December 1986 as the 3rd child of my parent at Petaling Jaya, Selangor. My family is not large. There's only six of us. I got one elder brother, elder sister and later one younger brother plus my parents. My father works as technician and my mother is housewife. But at the same time, my parents run a business since they have two outlets in Bangi PKNS Complex which sells ibadah equipments and foodstuff.
My elder brother, 26, studying Arabic language in Syria. My elder sister, 25, is married and currently have one little baby. She is IIUM graduate and will continue her Master of Education in IIUM next coming semester. Next is me, having my third year in Kulliyah of ICT, IIUM majoring in Computer Science while my younger brother 21, currently on training provided by Ministry of Education.
I live in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor. My house is located behind 'Kamsis UKM' or University Kebangsaan Malaysia Student Campus so i don't have many neighbors since UKM students living behind my house are shifted through each semester in that university. I classify my life as moderate, not overwhelming rich but I conceive as 'enough'.
Since child, my mother always grow me up with to-be-doctor set in mind. But i always involving myself in arts; drawing, and inventing things. My hobby since child is reading. I even started to read a very thick fiction novel about space while I still in primary school. My parents really support my interest and they bought me many books, novels and magazines. I like reading any type of book or writing. I have included some links on the right panel of my blog to the things I read. The genre I like most is ancient historical and fiction. Other than that, I also love to travel.
I am currently into social charity work, giving up my strength as a teenager to the people around the world. I have experience in helping some people in rural areas and kids . I found this kind of activities bring a lot of consciousness and make me more grateful to be who I am today.
In the field of study, I have load of interest on Linux since last couple semester, after being introduced to the open source system. For that, I have printed and collected many materials on them for my own reading. Thanks to my lecturer, Dr Mohiyuddin who motivate me to learn and provide me with loads of reading materials even after I finish a course with him. But since I am still new, many things I have to learn to master in Linux.
It's quite a while for me to think image that represent me and some of my friends suggest images for me. Later then I think image that best represent me best is the starfish. Instead of liking the shape of this creature, what I like most about this creature is it's uniqueness. Inside the water, we'll see them so softly moved like a rubber or jelly but once it brought to the land it's actually very harsh and tough like a rock. I have experience of touching it once during my visit to Semporna Sabah and I found the starfishes come in many colors. Some features of the starfish that I think represent me is the symbolic of its nature of living. I can easily suit myself at any places I live. I am not very strict and though not a very lenient person. Maybe I am more like the starfish which will be so harsh on certain conditions but also can be very soft under other circumstances. The picture below I had taken myself on an island near Semporna.
